Deal Policy
A worthwhile deal needs more than a large discount badge. This policy explains what the labels and prices on ShopDe mean, and where their limits are.
Good Deal, Great Drop and Fair Price
A product’s deal rating is an editorial assessment based on the product details and price context stored in ShopDe. “Good Deal” indicates a price and product combination we consider worth attention. “Great Drop” is the display label for an Excellent editorial rating; it is not, by itself, proof that the product meets the separate Price Drops feed rule. “Fair Price” means a useful option at a reasonable listed price without a stronger deal verdict. Ratings can be changed after review and are not guarantees of the lowest market price.
Price Drop feed
The Price Drops feed includes a published product only when its current stored price is at least ₹100 and at least 10% below its previous recorded price. Products are ordered by the amount of that reduction. A product may have an editorial “Great Drop” label without meeting this feed threshold, and vice versa.
Usual price and price history
The usual price is a comparison value stored for that product; it is not necessarily the manufacturer’s MRP or the price at every merchant. The savings figure on a product card is the usual price minus the current stored price, never below zero. Previous price is the prior recorded point used for Price Drops. Any price-history chart reflects only snapshots that ShopDe has actually stored, so gaps may exist and the history is not a complete market-wide record.
When prices were last checked
Product pages show the stored last-checked date. A background job identifies published listings whose last-checked date is more than 24 hours old, but the job does not fetch merchant prices or update that date by itself. A displayed price can therefore be stale. Always confirm the final price, seller and availability on the merchant’s site.
